INSIGHTS INTO EARN-OUT USE BY DIFFERENT SIZED PRIVATE EQUITY FUNDS We recently surveyed many Australian Private Equity firms on their use of earn-outs. Findings on the structuring of earn-outs has been covered in our last post and in the article in The Australian, but an additional area worth reviewing is the varying use of earn-outs by different investors. In the attached video, I summarise some insights from the survey into the different use of earn-outs by larger private equity firms, smaller private equity firms and minority-style investors. Our report covers a lot more detail and analysis of the responses from PE firms.
