Day2 of our #CyberSecurityAwareness month tips is on Multi-factor Authentication. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication Passwords alone aren’t enough anymore. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra security step, making it harder for anyone to get into your account. Even if a hacker manages to steal your password, MFA requires them to provide another piece of information, like a code sent to your phone or a fingerprint scan. This second step means the chances of your account being compromised are significantly reduced. Always activate MFA when it’s available - especially for important accounts like email, banking, or work systems. It’s one of the most effective ways to keep unwanted visitors out.

It's a rainy Thursday here at the office. How about a tech tip? What is 2FA? 2FA stands for Two Factor Authentication, and it is where you use a separate device such as your phone to get a temporary passcode in ADDITION to your usual username/password. These passcodes expire quickly and help make sure the real you is logging in. 2FA is a great way to add another layer of protection to your accounts. Many places such as banks, emails providers and social media sites are rolling out 2FA as part of their log in process. Got questions about account security? Let's chat! #techtips #TwoFactorAuthentication
