🌟 “Partner Powered” is more than just a phrase at Social Venture Partners Seattle; it’s the core of their work. In Spring 2021, SVP Seattle took a groundbreaking step by adopting a new approach to philanthropy with a Reimagined Vision, steering towards using philanthropy as a tool for racial justice and equity advocacy. This new approach highlights the significance of co-creation, emphasizing the collaborative design of initiatives with Partners, the non-profit leaders SVP Seattle works alongside, and those dedicated to its mission. Check out the Annual Impact Report from Reach Out and Read.
Across all our Affiliates and sites, Reach Out and Read served 171,000 more children (for a total of 4.4 million) and provided 500,000 more books (for a total of 7.1 million) in FY23 than FY22. And as excited as we are about 8.8 million interactions in the clinic, we’re even more proud of the daily moments that matter, books being shared, and bonds being built among the families and children we have the honor of serving. 🎉

"Transforming Lives, One Dream at a Time" We recently partnered with HammondCare, highlighting the incredible impact of The Dreams Project within their palliative care unit. Each year around 60,000 Australians receive life-changing palliative care, with a majority experiencing significant relief from pain and distress. Yet, the demand for these services is rapidly growing, stretching our healthcare system. HammondCare's Dreams Project steps in here, granting heartfelt wishes to end-of-life patients, funded solely by generous donations. Our task was to capture the essence of this beautiful initiative. We crafted a deeply moving video, bringing to light the profound difference each dream makes. This video isn't just a showcase; it's a call to action. It's designed to inspire and encourage benefactors and donors to support this vital cause. Our production aimed to stir emotions and motivate action, and we believe it does just that. Watch the journey, feel the impact, and join us in making more dreams come true. Watch the full version of the video here. https://buff.ly/3U5dPzR @HammondCare #PalliativeCare #HammondCare #TheDreamsProject #MakeADifference

👏Congratulations to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for a successful event and to Nicolas Michuda and Sydney for conquering the challenge! Let's get to work....all the way to the top! 💡 Here are some fun facts regarding stairs for architects and contractors: ➡ The Roman architect Vitruvius established the first guidelines for the stair in the first century B.C, suggesting a 37-degree pitch. Most stairs are not dramatically different today. ➡ The 19th century is regarded by many as the golden era of stair construction. In the 20th century architects gave prominence to lifts. Now, with the emergence of ‘active design’, architects are once again making stairs more prominent. #climbhigher
Scaling heights for a heartwarming cause! Our Project Manager, Nicolas Michuda, and his fiancé, Sydney, conquered 80 floors at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Aon Step Up for Kids event! Their climb supports young patients and their families at Lurie’s Children’s with proceeds benefiting K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time!

The future grows brighter and brighter for CFAR! In this WHYY article, CFAR CEO Jordan Brogan talks about how the Pew funding will help us build an ideal organization "where the administrative side of things functions as strongly as our clinical side, and expand into the counties to help create more access for children and families to receive services.”

https://lnkd.in/gjN6bbAA Did you know that one in four individuals will experience a stroke at some point in their life? However, a vast majority of these #strokes , almost 90 percent, could be prevented if a few risk factors are addressed. These risk factors include high blood pressure (hypertension), irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), smoking, diet, and #exercise . This year, we are inspiring the global stroke community to raise awareness and take action towards stroke #prevention . Join us and together, let's show that we can be greater than stroke. #strokerehabilitation
