"Explain how the internship has benefited you so far." This internship has benefited me in multiple ways. First and foremost, I was able to gain invaluable experience in the materials science field and develop skills with lab tools. I was able to learn from first hand practices on how to utilize lab equipment with help from my mentors and, with further instruction, I was able to gain an understanding of the behaviors of chemicals. Other than the practical benefits, from this internship I was able to experience the importance of collaboration as well. I was able to attend weekly lab meetings to inquire about problems we face in individual experiments and methods we can use to solve them. Here, I was able to ask my mentors as well as the lab professor questions if any problems occur with my assigned task for the day.
