We provide a full scholarship each Cyber Defense Analyst Program training program for those going through financial hardships, but are passionate and looking to develop the skills and knowledge for Cybersecurity Analyst Tier 1 & 2 positions. Next cohort starts in January, accepting applications until Dec 8. You'll go through 2 months of rigorous training developing the competencies, then we'll put you through a 1 month engagement in our virtual Security Operations Center that we developed. It'll be very similar to on the job tasks at this point. You'll respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from security tools detecting malicious and anomalous endpoint and network activity. Afterwards you'll go through a 1-week live practical exam to put it all to the test, manually reviewed and graded by us instructors (no multiple choice). Hello everyone, a happy new year to you! I am very pleased to say that I shall be presenting the first Higher Education Research Group (HERG) seminar of 2024 on January 16th 1-2pm (online). I shall be talking on The Operationalisation of Collaborative Academic Practice Please come along if interested! Hazel Collaborations are a key feature of contemporary practice in higher education, involving work across multiple boundaries. For those involved in their operationalisation, expertise is demonstrated in the ability to navigate complex boundary zones, often outside of ‘traditional’ university  structures and processes. With calls being made to bring the experiences and motivations of those working in the ‘third space’ into the open, this presentation discusses the operationalisation of the collaborative academic practice associated with TNE partnerships, and introduces a new model for analysing boundary work, The Collaborative Work Model (CWM). This model is used here to relate to TNE, but could be used for other situations where academics are involved in operationalising collaborations…for example Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. Today we are highlighting the final sections of the conference formats available, while all underneath the general topic of undergraduate experiences, they focus on specific scholarship areas. The first section for today is Undergraduate Students: Access. Proposals may address barriers and/or promising practices in relation to undergraduate student access; how access is or is not actualized in relation to ongoing manifestations of systemic oppression and power; the role of multiple/overlapping policies (e.g., sociopolitical, regional, state, campus-specific) on undergraduate student access. Led by Section Co-Chairs Awilda Rodriguez, Ph.D. and Lydia Ross, here’s a quick tip you should know about submissions for this section. “Broadening our understanding of how individuals access higher education is important as we develop promising practices and continue to identify systemic and other barriers.” - Lydia Ross, Section Co-Chair

It isn't a cool platform, and most people want to be where the kids are. But this platform is where the high school admins are, and this can be a useful tool for telling the story of a school.
