"𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁" or "𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁?" But take notice: The advertising experts predict more brands will release AI-produced ads in the next 6-12 months. Toys R Us released one of the first major brand video ads created almost entirely by generative AI. - The ad was made using Sora, an unreleased OpenAI text-to-video tool. - It depicts the company's founder, Charles Lazarus, as a child dreaming of a toy store. - The ad received mix𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, ranging from "𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁" to "𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁." - It took a 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 20 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱, requiring multiple revisions and tweaks to the AI-generated content. - The ad 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, such as 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀. - Some industry professionals see it as a brave experiment, while others criticize its quality. - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁, 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀. - The project raises concerns about AI's potential 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 in the marketing industry. - 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀, some argue the ad is 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Tant qu'une touche humaine, même minime, reste indispensable pour réaliser une publicité telle que celle-ci (requérant ici 20 personnes), je demeure optimiste pour l'avenir de l'emploi. Par contre, Il est clair que certains rôles spécifiques seront amenés à disparaître. Ceci dit, avec la baisse des coûts de production d'une publicité "standard", on cherchera soit à augmenter leur nombre (+ quantité), soit à améliorer leur qualité (+ qualité). En fin de compte, c'est la bonne vieille loi de l'offre et de la demande qui prime lol.

Can’t believe they needed 20 people for that level of quality. 🫢 No offence, but I’m pretty sure we could have done it better with 5. 😅🙈
