I'm speaking at Business Travel Show Europe 2024 at ExCeL London.

Whilst Modern Retailing is no longer solely an airline-centric topic there is much to be sifted through whilst looking back over the past 10+ years from NDC inception as an enabling data schema, LHG as first ones out of the gate for distribution changes, culminating in the industry shock when AA decided a similar strategy. Gaps remain - but where in the end to end process do these gaps reside? Should a corporate customer support the idea that a distributor decides how, when and at what price point I can get my services from my supplier? We are all waiting for the added value modern travel retailing will bring and even though the progress in "items-on-shelf" is comparatively small - the ground work has been done. We need to be an active part of fleshing things out. For once the future catalogue is created, if you are on tech that doesn't support the distribution, it is detrimental to your sourcing potential - successful procurement of the future can no longer rely purely on % saved on fare but what additional value of use can be incorporated.
Looking forward to speaking in London for the first time - and happy to see old friends and hopefully new ones too.
