PwC's Framework for Growth reveals the 10 key drivers poised to propel the UK economy forward through to 2035. This in-depth research, incorporating insights from over 60 business leaders, outlines the key focus areas for industries to foster economic development and includes projections of potential sector-specific benefits. Unsurprisingly, 53% of leaders identified skills, education, and talent as critical component in improving the UK's economic performance with the most notable gains in Professional Services, Property and Manufacturing. The potential impact? An impressive £230 billion GVA uplift. My hope is that the new Labour government integrates skills into the centre of a revitalised industrial strategy geared to transform our cities into hubs of innovation.
