🖐️How many of us have had to attend and participate in volun-told team building activities? 🖐️How many of these team building activities have felt shoehorned into summer or end of year celebrations? We hate "forced fun" as much as you do which is why we do team building differently. We align the effort with business objectives AND leave space for team members to have actual fun - their way. Here's how: - Identify the unique needs and dynamics of the team. - Assess what what the team needs to “level up” on development or performance - Communicate “what’s in it for them” by having team members help plan objectives for a successful team building activity. Ready for a team building event that will garner rave reviews instead of groans and eye rolls? Get in touch with us here!

Sr. Executive Coach and Strategist at Transcend | A dynamic relationship builder passionate about maximizing and engaging talent throughout organizations
Sometimes just taking a deep breath and engaging in our playful sides is exactly what we need to reset and reengage in news ways in the business. Love this reminder Hayley that laughter, creativity, teamwork, and play can have a significant impact on our connections and our joy. #wellness #joy #teamwork #impact #BusinessPerformance
One of Transcend's team commitments is "Joy," and I truly experienced that during our Tri-annual meeting earlier this month. Jaci, Kevin, and Mike organized a scavenger hunt that included rollerblading, a gondola ride over Spokane Falls, and a merry-go-round ride - and those were just the first three stops! It was a fantastic reminder to embrace joy in everything we do… which is even sweeter when your team wins the competition! Special shout-out to Craig, Makenzie, and Kevin for that. 🥇 Here’s to more fun and memorable moments.

Strategic Advisor | Keynote Speaker | Woman on a mission to co-create more compassionate workplace cultures
I can't tell you how much I used to dread "forced fun." Losing hours of my life with no ROI with the additional pressure of needing to cajole my team into participating. Insult on top of injury. Now we get to do things differently. "Team building" always needs a business reason so participants can understand why they are being asked to take time away from the work they need to get done and invest it into time with their colleagues. This business reason informs the tone and content of our time together and participants always get a say in how that time is spent. Not everyone will agree on what constitutes "fun," and so a skilled designer and facilitator are needed to balance the needs and wants for the activities. It takes a lot of strategic thought and preparation, but the outcome is worth it - achieving a business objective AND coming out a more connected team. As a leader, you should expect both from your investment. hashtag #teambuilding #roi #sessiondesign #JustSayNoToForcedFun
