Tough to say bye to The White House last week! It was a really special experience to serve as a political appointee at the Council on Environmental Quality at a time when so many good things were happening, including hundreds of executive actions and the largest investment in clean energy and climate action in history. Honored to play a small part in it with some amazing people, notably the best boss I could’ve asked for, Chair Brenda Mallory. But I’m so excited to take on a new challenge at The Nature Conservancy. Looking forward to working with Kevin Bender and the renowned Nature Bonds team to build on their successful debt conversions in Belize, Barbados, Ecuador, and Gabon to help more indebted countries, many of whom are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, bridge the financing gap to invest in conservation, mitigation, and adaptation measures. I’ll be in New York for most of Climate Week so please shoot me a note to catch up!
We will miss you dearly my friend, and Nature Conservancy couldn't be luckier to have a wonderful person join their team! Thank you for all your hard work, but most importantly, for being a great person and colleague.
Small part? Not at all, Chetan. Thank you for your significant contributions. I enjoyed working with you while we helped write the National Climate Resilience Framework. Congrats for your new adventure! I can’t wait to see your next impacts!
Congrats! It’s been great interacting with you and the CEQ over the past couple years. I know I speak for ASBPA American Shore and Beach Preservation Association when I say it was a privilege to have Chair Mallory speak at our summit this years and we owe it to you for facilitating that. All the best in your new role!
Very proud of you. congratulations on your new responsibility.
It was great working with you. I hope to run into you at climate week and hear more about your great new role with TNC.
Congratulations!! Thank you for always including me in the enviro intern events. Your kindness made the experience that much greater! I know you’ll do great things at Nature Conservancy!
Congrats on a job well done Chetan, and excited for your next adventure! Will also be in NY, let’s try to catch up!
