✨ CHESHIRE SHOUTOUT ✨ We're incredibly grateful to hear from a recent patient, Randy P., who shared some kind words for the care he received recently: "I was recently admitted to Cheshire Medical Center for a serious illness. During my stay at the hospital, I had interactions with several of your staff members. I would like to acknowledge the people who really made my stay there a wonderful experience under the circumstances. My ICU team members were: Stephanie, Rita, and Sherry. My third-floor team members were: Ruth, Loretta, Daxton, Sarah, Kristina, Victoria, Emily, Meghan. These people went above and beyond the call of duty in many ways to make my stay there as comfortable as possible. Their friendliness, compassion, professionalism, and encouragement put me at ease during this trying time." Thank you, Randy, for the amazingly kind words. 🙏 If you have words of appreciation to share with our providers or staff, please visit https://lnkd.in/ezQS2r8H to leave your feedback.

This is a *very* simplified way of explaining why it's important to be extra mindful when it comes to choosing a palliative or hospice care person or team. We want to help everyone make challenging life and end-of-life decisions with confidence. We're illustrating why this topic is important alongside some potential “watch-outs" so you make a good decision! Don’t be dissuaded just because there are things to watch out for. The fact is, choosing a care provider that *you and your family trust and enjoy working with* can make a world of difference to anyone relying on them. If you'd like a fuller explanation for what we have listed, you'll find an expanded version of this chart on our Palliative Care vs Hospice Care page at LightAtTheEnd.com. This is the first in a planned series, and we hope you find it useful!

This. Teaching “Family & Friends CPR for the layman, is something I enjoy doing for this reason alone. The more who know how to recognize the symptoms and act fast, the better. There is no certification at the end, though it is super informational and the cost is minimum in comparison to the traditional heartsaver course. The resources are all AHA so the gold standard is there! I beg of anyone to push for these, you can work them into more than the average individual may realize; They make for effective team dynamics exercises for work. Mom/parent group meet ups? Book a local instructor. You could find an amazingly engaging instructor (cough cough wink) and host one at your next family reunion. Practical baby shower addition for the friends and family. I have taught this course for all of the above and more. Family & friends is a cost effective AHA curriculum course and it teaches the basics of hands only CPR. Almost ANYONE can save a life. But most importantly, #educationsaveslives
In an interview with NewsChannel 9 WSYR, Deb Hopkins, RN, MSN, Clinical Educator at St. Joseph's Health Hospital, walks through the importance of learning hands-only CPR. Each time I get "sign out" from one of my hospitalist partners, they also comment about how many patients were just discharged...sometimes a third of the service or more. It always makes me smile. As a hospital physician my focus is two-fold: first, help free people from disease and pain, and second, help free them from the hospital! As a physician, do you still relish those daily wins? At ABOUT Healthcare, we focus on making that happen, assuring that nothing gets in the way. People want to get healthy, and they want to go home. In my work at ABOUT, my mission is the same, and nothing makes me smile more than seeing our clients successfully get people out the door, and back to living.

Improving Care Navigation by deploying highly empathetic humans that are empowered with modern tech efficiency
We just found this post from one of our clients today. It is common for Digital Health / Tech companies to beg their clients for press releases and product reviews which are usually neutral at best. Unsolicited postings by clients that highlight the positive impact that our partnership has delivered for their patients is new to me. "The significant rise in staff recognition has sparked interest from individuals in other hospital departments, inquiring about our 'secret.' Some even humorously suggest we must be cheating. No, we're simply utilizing technology that aligns with our patient experience and business objectives." If you'd like to see what a "One-of-a-kind" emergency care experience with Vital looks like, DM me with your availability. #ED #ER #emergencyroom #emergencydepartment #patientcare #patientexperience #patientengagement #patients #hospital #hospitals #healthsystems #rn #emergencymedicine #patientsatisfaction
🏥 We believe all emergency room patients should never be left in the dark about the status of their care! This year, we established a partnership with the digital platform, ERAdvisor, to fulfill our commitment of keeping patients well-informed during their emergency room visits. 💙 When being interviewed about all that ERAdvisor has done for our emergency room, Trey Plaisance, the RN Clinical Director of the Emergency Department, emphasized, “ERAdvisor has transformed the way our department views patient experience and satisfaction. It gives our patients a way to inform us of issues while they’re still in the ED, not through a post-discharge survey. This is huge in maximizing resources available to target problems in real-time.” ✨ 📲 Keep reading about our Emergency Care and ERAdvisor: https://bit.ly/3Tw1JQ1
