Master Certified Coach for Purpose-Driven Leaders with Overachiving Tendencies | Mentor Coach | Coach Educator | Founder of Realign Project

Last year around this time, I decided to go for my MCC, something that would have been unfathomable before. What drove me was my intense need to see more diversity in the professional coaching space, not only experiencing more people who look like me but also folks who come from different professional and cultural backgrounds. I often find myself as a minority in most spaces in the US, and it gets tiring at times. Ever since I became a professional coach, I've been able to experience how alignment can bring flow. The previous chapter of my professional life in the advertising industry was filled with uphill battles, survival, and doubts. I've always known myself to be an achiever. But if I were to highlight a critical shift between my life before and after becoming a coach, it would be this – I've developed a deeper trust in the "process." I'm not as attached to the outcome and don't have as much need to control how things unfold. It's been a relief to embrace this way of being. Many coaching colleagues have generously given me support, tips, and insights about their MCC journey and experience taking the ICF Credentialing Test. They were even patient enough to indulge me in answering my questions about restroom logistics during the short 5-minute exam break. I'll be putting together resources to share my experiences and pay it forward. I'm grateful for Hellen Yang 杨敏, MCC, CPCC, my MCC mentor, who has been there every step of the way. Aside from my husband, she's been an unfortunate witness to my intensity and rebellious spirit, and her support has been invaluable on this journey. I felt like a tennis player with an incredibly talented coach. 🎾 And profound thanks to Sharon Y. Brown, PCC, MS, who taught us the beautiful art of coaching, which has been life-changing and healing. I remember seeing Sharon's in-person coaching demo during one of the training weekends and being blown away by the magic of it. Many years later, I'm still in awe. I feel so honored that Sharon and I are now collaborating as partners.🙏 It feels good to call this goal complete after a year. I'm excited for the space I'm gaining back and to carry forward the lessons learned and start actively sharing them. But first, rest! 😵💫❤️😆 #professionalcoaching https://lnkd.in/e8FFCWVg
