Undergraduate Film student @ University of Kent | Aspiring Film Director | Videographer | Looking to create strong foundation and interactions with future and current film industry professionals |
I am excited to share my first short film that I shot and edited in my career. Shooting and editing Emotions Hold was an inspiring journey, and I owe immense gratitude to everyone involved. Click the link to my first ever video on my YouTube channel. Maiure Industries https://lnkd.in/eVi2YZjD I am glad I was able to bring the writer's story to reality by working closely with him during the shooting process as we co-directed the film to bring each other's visions and storyline to life. I deeply appreciate the cast for their remarkable performances. I wanted it to authentically capture the story and resonate with viewers so I hope I achieved that. It took a while for the editing to be completed as it was my first time editing a short film and managing many files from the shoot at the same time to match the timeline to fit the storyline. Many filmmakers experience similar delays, often striving for perfection and the right timing. This process taught me the value of patience and dedication in storytelling. Filming the short film helped me develop a variety of skills, including: Storytelling: Crafting a compelling narrative. Cinematography: Understanding shot composition, lighting, and camera techniques. Editing: Learning to assemble footage and create a cohesive flow. Project Management: Coordinating schedules, resources, and tasks. Collaboration: Working effectively with a team, including cast and crew. Problem-Solving: Adapting to challenges during production. Communication: Conveying ideas clearly and effectively. Creativity: Experimenting with visual and auditory elements to enhance storytelling. I gained some of these skills during the pre-production, production and post production that I learned from my time at National Youth Film Academy. It made the whole process much easier as I understood the fundamentals. However, I gained new skills as I was doing it in a much smaller crew this time. Description: In Emotions Hold, a son uncovers the devastating truth that his mother’s death was orchestrated by a doctor, under his own father’s directive. A heated argument ensues with his stepbrother, who is indifferent and more focused on money than their shared loss. A physical altercation breaks out, and the son, overwhelmed with grief and anger, seeks revenge against his father. The story concludes with a heart-wrenching twist. Director: Fateh Khan Cinematographer/Editor: Lewis Ngure Cast: Shehzaad Lohar (Son) Raheel Khan (Qasim) Fateh Khan (Dr. Subhani) Hashtags: #EmotionsHold #shortfilm #indiefilm #familydrama #griefandbetrayal #emotionaljourney #filmmaking #cinematicdrama #tragicending #storytelling #cinematography #creativeprocess #independentfilm #filmproduction #filmcommunity #screenwriting #filmEditing #collaboration #visualstorytelling #filmindustry #artoffilmmaking

Insights from Allen Adamson: The Intersection of Filmmaking and Business (IAM1970) Allen initially wanted to be a filmmaker and was drawn to the idea of telling stories through photography and film. However, he realized that success in the film industry requires both talent and luck and often involves a period of struggle. He found it fascinating that the same combination of actors, screenwriters, and cast could result in a hit movie or a failure, which sparked his interest in the concept that is similar in business where success isn't linear. #ViralVideos #BrandingExpert #MarketAdvantage #ConsumerPerspective #CEOInsights #BusinessSuccess #DiverseTeam #Uncertainty #CreativeBusinesses #filmaker
