Not many companies think of design as a competitive advantage. It is easier to argue that lower cost is a competitive advantage because one can measure lower cost. It is hard to measure better design. Cirque du Soleil is able to succeed in a shrinking and competitive industry because its strategic advantage is design. Cirque du Soleil is a theater. There is a story that link performances, stage atmosphere, costume, makeup, lighting, etc. We need more companies like Cirque du Soleil instead of companies focusing on lower cost.

Who said AI-video is not production-ready yet? Even if we don't take Sora into consideration, there's so much things you can do today. Video photorealism is *almost* here, but even right now, as long as 100% photorealism is not required, you have an entire new world of creative possibilities in your hands. New commercial work for Trek - “Relentless Progression” This project was a change of pace from my previous commercial pursuits. I’ve often leaned into quirky, clever, awkward, and whimsical worlds. Likely, these are exaggerated versions of how I view life. With this production, I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. I remember watching an interview with George Lucas. After he made THX-1138 (1971), his colleague and fellow filmmaker, Francis Ford Coppola, asked him, “Why don’t you make a regular movie?”. That spawned American Graffiti (1973). Similarly, I wanted to try and break my mold. I wanted to make something darker and dramatic. I wanted to throw some technical challenges at the wall and see if we could execute. We were heavily reliant on action and dynamic camera movements. We experimented with new camera systems that we’ve never tested before. Despite some of the hiccups, I’m proud of our team and what we were able to accomplish. #advertising #creativestrategy #commercialproduction #filmmaking

https://lnkd.in/d9iqsrz3 Having had the privilege of working with the Paris 2024 branding, I'm probably biased when I say it's one of the most unique and captivating Olympic IDs I've seen in a long time. Designed to work across both the Olympics and Paralympics, it translates exceptionally well across print, outdoor, digital and moving image. The font, pictograms, paving stones, and mascots have been painstakingly matched and work together in well-crafted harmony. For me, the pièce de résistance is the games' fabulous emblem, or Marianne as it's become known. After some initial trepidations, I've come to admire the endearing and memorable design that beautifully blends the Olympic flame with the spirit of the most stylish city in the world and the face of the French Revolution. As the Olympics near the end of the first week, it's been intriguing to observe how the media have (or haven't) embraced the P24 identity. For the most part, they've made a reasonable fist of it, though I wonder why they don't use more of it - especially when their own attempts at Olympic branding clash. For example, BBC's athlete illustrations are nice enough but look incongruous when placed onscreen next to the official graphics. ART INTERMEDIARIES - BETWEEN THE CREATOR AND THE PURCHASER. When organizations, such as Nike Art Gallery, purchase art for later resale to consumer, they are acting as intermediary. Art intermediaries play crucial role in connecting artist's products with potential buyers. They serve as a bridge between the creator and the purchaser, helping both parties achieve their goals. Building strong relationships, having a deep knowledge of the art market, and possessing excellent communication skills are key to being a successful art intermediary. A performance intermediary is the agent who book venues for a percentage of the revenue for artist tour or concert. PERFORMANCE INTERMEDIARY FINANCIAL RISK If the concert is poorly attended, the performers still must be paid the contracted amount. Because of this financial risk agents are often only interested in acting as intermediaries for established performers as this makes selling tickets easier. If the performer act as their own intermediary, they contract for a venue and then promote and sell tickets directly to consumers. The performer bears the risk if tickets do not sell, as they must still pay for the venue. It will be branded as a relaxing sounds, sight seeing, stock footage type of video. Any person will love to watch the views, no matter the age or country of residence. Its not easy capturing engaging shots on a cruise with constant and strong turbulence. That is why I am continually more proud of my skillset and these special eyes.
