A lot of black people historically were forced to come to the U.S. Even the groups that were not forced were exposed to laws that did not give them the rights as people 1/4 to 1/3 a person. That means the great Americans Washington, Jefferson, Franklin etc. all were able to beat, kill, rape and breed black people. For years blacks were not able to read, blacks were not able to own, blacks were not able to pass down wealth. For centuries, when slaves were finally “free”, they had to go back to plantations because, they couldn’t get fair job opportunities. Fast forward to today, and after generations of being held back by the laws, blacks ahead are still behind. Because our grandparents and great grandparents weren’t allowed to have a fair shot at anything. Those laws and people didn’t just fall off the Earth, they evolved. When a black person brings up these facts, we are asking for “handouts”.
