Happy New Year from the 2nd Act Team! We are so appreciative of all the support we have received so far during our Annual Winter Appeal. If you haven't made a donation yet, it's not too late. We are only $10,000 away from our final goal to be able to continue providing therapeutic support to Frontline Certified Peer Recovery Specialists and people in recovery. 2nd Act’s Drama Therapists provide vital mental health care for those on the frontlines of the opioid crisis. 2nd Act is the only organization in the country focused on supporting the mental health of Peer Workers and addressing the ways in which they are impacted by secondary traumatic stress. Please consider supporting 2nd Act’s programs, and the people they serve, by January 15th by visiting weare2ndact.org/donate or https://lnkd.in/grzj9CZf 2nd Act is reliant on donations to continue the work we do. We cannot do this work without you. Together, we can envision a world where all stories are honored, recovery is celebrated, and everyone gets a second act. • • • #donate #newyearresolutions #annualappeal #dramatherapy #frontlinepeerworkers #everyonedeservesa2ndAct #weare2ndact #fundraiser #boston #northeast #livetheatre #preventionplays #preventioneducation #recoverycommunity #recovery #mentalhealthawareness #recoveryispossible #recoveryresources #addictiontreatment #nonprofit #dramatherapy #preventioneducationtheatre #recoveryfriendlyworkplace #actorsinrecovery #opioidepidemic #endoverdose

Happy Thursday everyone! As you may know, my company offers 20% of our services at low or no cost. This means we reserve 20% of our therapy services and offer them at a reduced cost (usually $22 or in some cases pro bono). We were recently blessed to receive fiscal sponsorship from TAPAZ, so we're able to fundraise for this clinic. The good news is that some of your donations are tax deductible! Here in Arizona, the charitable tax credit for 2024 is $470 single, married filing separate or head of household; $938 married filing joint. We're doing our first round of fundraising in conjunction with Arizona Gives Day 2024. However, you can donate today! Help us reach our goal of $10,000. This will cover the costs of therapy sessions for some of your friends, neighbors and those in need. About us: Trauma Recovery Services of Arizona (TRSAZ) stands as a beacon of hope, helmed by Indigenous leadership and a deep commitment to health equity. Our mission extends beyond the clinic walls, aiming to restore vibrant quality of life across BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and veteran communities through the power of trauma-informed care. Utilizing a blend of innovative technology and evidence-based therapies, we strive to address the nuanced needs of those touched by trauma, ensuring our services resonate on a deeply personal and cultural level. Join us in our relentless pursuit to heal, empower, and transform lives, as we work together to mend the fabric of communities historically burdened by trauma. Reach out if you have any questions or would like to meet to discuss our work and how you can help. 602-661-0200 Please share and donate today. No amount is too small. ++++ https://lnkd.in/esyVpnnt #azgives #arizonagives2024 #donate #fundraising #philanthropy #indigenousled #indigenousleadership #mentalhealthmatters #change #healthequity

Today, on International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on three charities we’ve supported that are making a real difference to the lives of women. Between Leeds Building Society and the Society's charitable foundation, a total of £136,700 has been donated to these inspirational causes that help empower women. Here’s a bit more about them… It’s important to have a safe place to live, which is why we’re supporting Treasures Foundation with funding. The grant is being used towards buying a property in Hull, which will be used as a home for women who require specialist support. Treasures Foundation also provides outreach support, and a day programme for women in recovery from addiction, the criminal justice system, trauma and mental health. Latch (Leeds Action to Create Homes) Ltd converts derelict properties into supported housing. We’re providing funding to help 25 single mothers and their children move into new tenancies, including providing furniture such as beds, cots and fridges, as well as fully carpeting each property to make their house a home. The Snowdrop Project are making a huge impact in Sheffield by helping survivors of modern slavery and exploitation rebuild their futures. From counselling to house renovations, their holistic support is empowering people to get their lives back on track. And 90% of those they’re helping are women. These initiatives inspire us to keep creating safe spaces and opportunities for all women! 💪🏠💖 #InspireInclusion #IWD2024
