As the Director of Communications and Marketing for the City of Pflugerville, I am incredibly proud of our team's remarkable achievements. Our journey has been built on the foundation laid by the trailblazers who came before us, and we honor their legacy by continuing to roll up our sleeves and stay innovative and engaged with our community. Social Media Boom: Our city page followers have skyrocketed by 50%, and post engagement has boosted by 42%. Our strategic posts have also driven a 26% increase in website clicks. Talk about making waves! Media Love: A whopping 53.3% of our TV mentions have been positive, smashing the national average for government entities. Go team! Website Wins: Our sites have attracted 636,000 users and 2.28 million views, with engagement times well above industry averages. These awesome stats are all thanks to the hard work and creativity of our communications and marketing rockstars. We know that when people hear "government," they might think of long lines and red tape. That's why we have to be innovative and go beyond the usual government talk. Our community expects more from us now – just like they do from the companies they shop with and the causes they support. They want us to be human and relatable. Leading this team is an absolute honor. Their dedication and innovative spirit are what drive our success. With the support of our amazing leadership team, we are making Pflugerville not just a place to live but a community to be proud of.
