While many pharma marketing teams integrate digital strategies, the plans tend to follow a more traditional pathway and at times lack personalization. There are several directions to consider to make your digital pharma marketing campaign more ambitious and impactful: 1- Asking the right questions: Conventional market surveys may fail to identify actual prospects and their potential worth. Reconsider traditional market research methods to identify pain spots along the treatment process for all stakeholders involved. 2- Increasing Rx fill rates: Specialty drugs face 12-20 touchpoints for prior authorization, leading to low fill rates. Streamline with digital tools for enhanced prescription fills, driving outcomes, brand loyalty, and revenue. 3- Setting the right incentives: Motivate internal teams with rewarding incentives. What I find most interesting from this report is the focus on data & analytics as the number 1 priority, which is fair enough, but only 19% of pharma companies are rating field force training as a leading investment priority in 2024. Crazy when in most regions, reps are still by far the number 1 channel to reach and engage HCPs. Maybe that's why in Across Health maturemeter HCP digital satisfaction remains stagnant after years of massive investment in 'digital' by pharma. The report talks about 'striking a balance between efficiency and human connection' 'balancing digital engagement with human interaction through our customer facing teams' 'adding a human touch to digital interactions'. Putting the PEOPLE aspect well behind the TECHNOLOGY and DATA will continue to slow our progress to deliver a superior customer experience with HCPs whilst we continue to be reliant on the in-person rep engagement with the HCP. Time to put the rep at the HEART of your customer engagement transformation and stop calling it 'digital transformation' otherwise we continue to focus on the data and technology and become distracted by the latest shiny new toy syndrome.
