#Londoners have been asked their opinions on current Stop and Search practises to help develop a charter between local communities and the Metropolitan Police. As part of the New Met for London plan, the Metropolitan Police is resetting its relationship with London’s communities. When done right, Stop and Search is an effective tool and officers take 4,000 dangerous weapons off London streets every year as a result of this tactic – saving lives. #stopandsearch #publicsafety #londonsafety You can read the article and take survey here: https://lnkd.in/ef-FDcBf

Last year, Detroit saw dramatic crime reduction with the fewest homicides in nearly 60 years, while non-fatal shootings and carjackings dropped by 16% and 34%, respectively. The strategy took a team effort with federal, state, county, city, judicial, and community partners all working together to make Detroit safer. And while 2024 has started in a positive direction, there is still more to do, including getting more police officers on the streets. Mayor Mike Duggan is proposing a 13% increase in the fiscal year 2025 Detroit Police Department budget. The boost will continue the expansion of mental health response teams and support extra police patrol for the summer months. Learn more at detroitmi.gov/budget

https://lnkd.in/giW6KXmU https://lnkd.in/gH3HxH7S FYI: There are 2 video to watch. #albuquerque , this is what we have leading our Police Department. For some time now, I have called out the glaring inadequacies of Chief Medina. I assure you it is not personal, but my professional opinion. 1. Chief Medina is not very articulate. 2. He is quick to pass sarcasm on to the public citizenry when we highlight glaring truths and errors in goings on in Albuquerque. (thus I expect snark from his office very soon as a result of this post.) However, he is not quick to respond under duress. 3. At Minute 2:39, Medina states he looked left, it was clear and he proceeded to accelerate crossing an intersection, then plowing into an innocent person in a classic car. (Medina could have easily been T-boned as the intersection was not clear, he did not activate his emergency lights or siren so others could be alert.) I have listened to Medina, and without fail, he continues to fail. I cannot imagine what it is like to be under his charge. He panicked, ran and thus injured an innocent man. Medina was quick to change the subject of his wrong by focusing on gun violence. Sorry Chief, you chose to take your wife on a work thing. You are Chief 24/7, and thus danger lurks in the city you are hired to protect. Crime is out of control and so is your leadership. Chief, you had other options. Reverse, take cover and take control. Rather you RAN! Poor Form on all levels. Leftist politically motivated officials are ruining Albuquerque. Those who are charged to curb crime here are running from it. APD allows crack and fentanyl hordes on street corners filled with "informants". It doesn't take investigators to lock up criminals. And informants squeal just as fast in prison/jail as they do on the streets. APD is ignoring and promoting the problem. Chief, that means you are responsible for this crime increase. #MAYORKELLER, this is also on You Sir! Medina needs to be replaced, immediately. I am tired of the excuses. The citizenry is not blind or stupid. Do Better or leave! Rev. Rico
