The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. We have been focused most on services to address this crisis. And while access to and equity for appropriate #mentalhealth services should remain a top priority, it alone is simply not enough. 🛑 We can't only treat our way out of this crisis. 🛑 Every school and community needs #mentalhealthliteracy (MHL) education. With MHL, people learn how to support their own mental health as well as the mental health of those in their care. They can challenge #stigma, recognize signs of concerns early, and address them appropriately. MHL offers people the language and the confidence to engage in conversations they may otherwise avoid.
