October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Abuse can begin with the smallest of behaviors that are many of times dismissed or downplayed, when in reality that have a major effect on mental and physical, well-being. This month we stand together to support those affected by domestic violence and raise awareness for our young people so that they too can spot the signs in an unhealthy relationship. As an eductaor, if you are going to do something start by standing up, supporting and spreading awareness. Below is a great resource to use when teaching students about relationships and boundaries. #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth #education #onelovefoundation #awareness

Children are precious and vulnerable members of society. “Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” (John F. Kennedy). April is Child Abuse Prevention Month - check out this short piece from our Twin Falls colleagues: https://lnkd.in/gjnHrYyn There are several ways to get involved: 1. Display pinwheels, especially gardens of blue pinwheels. 2. Draft a letter to your elected officials emphasizing the need to invest in Idaho families and children. 3. Draw a pinwheel and write a positive message using sidewalk chalk. Children are deserving of love, care, and protection. We must ensure their safety and well-being, and create an environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive. “Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.” (Neil Postman)
During Child Abuse Awareness Month, pinwheels serve as a hopeful reminder
