6moThis article hits the nail on the head. Generally I totally agree that older boomer-investors (like myself!) don't realize how overwhelming the choice is out there when it comes to investment products. Old hands can pretty quickly dismiss out of hand large swaths of stuff (like Canadian bank-produced Structured Product, yes I'm talking to you!). But to newbies they may look like legitimate investment options and they serve only to clutter up their consciousness and make decision making even more difficult.
