How are we doing today? It's a thankful Thursday again, and this week, we are focusing on a serious and important issue — Overdose awareness. We are deeply grateful for the resilience of survivors and the tireless efforts of those dedicated to prevention and support. We need to take a moment to appreciate the progress in increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and saving lives. We're grateful for every open-hearted conversation, each inspiring story, and the support that fosters recovery and hope. By continuing to educate, support, and care, we can help turn the tide against overdose. Let's keep making a difference, offering understanding, and spreading hope to those impacted. Keep the conversation going—share your thoughts, stories, or words of encouragement. Together, we can build a supportive network that uplifts and empowers. #twinocean #overdoseawareness #thankfulthursday #supportrecovery #endstigma #community

During National Recovery Month, we’re reminded of the power we all have to help build a recovery-ready community. Interventions aren't just about guiding individuals toward treatment…they’re about laying the foundation for a community to support those in need. Every successful intervention helps build a network of care, understanding, and compassion, making it easier for others to seek help. But it doesn’t stop there—our collective responsibility is to create an environment where recovery is not only possible but encouraged. As awareness and resources grow during National Recovery Month, let’s all commit to supporting those in our community who are on their journey to recovery. #NationalRecoveryMonth #RecoveryReady #SupportCommunity #JARecovery

August 31st was International Overdose Awareness Day, here are a few things we learned that we can do to make a difference! The 2024 theme for International Overdose Awareness Day, “Together we can,” encourages community, unity, and action, reminding us that we have the power to make a difference when we work together. Together we can: -Attend or host IOAD events. -Share stories of those we have lost to overdose. -Wear purple in remembrance of those who have died from overdose. -Learn how to prevent, recognize, and respond to an overdose. -Carry naloxone in case of an emergency. -Volunteer with local harm reduction organizations. -Remove stigmatizing language in discussions about substance use. -Tell friends and family that no one has to struggle alone, and help is available through 988.
