So, to my critics: You a'int seen nothing yet! There's more to the story. 😎 ...After "he's just a singer," strategically leveraged cross-promotion as a musical artist—his high-caliber events would garner the attention of thousands and thousands of people who traveled from near and far, including New Jersey (from the North to the South from Newark, Scotch Plains, Short Hills, Livingston and beyond), Maryland, New York City, Delaware, the Poconos, and beyond. (I trained my staff to gather not only their contact information, but to also inquire where people were traveling from because part of my business model was to create a "destination experience"). In business, that's called #DestinationMarketing. My Sunday Brunch events would go on to win recognitions and awards and often had to turn people away, in business that's called #SupplyAndDemand. As unconventional and unrelated as it may seem,…there just may be something to be learned about business from "just a singer.” To learn more, subscribe to my blog at: www.JustinGoldsberry.com #BusinessInsights #SongsToStrategy #BusinessStrategy #BrandBuilding #MarketingStrategy #BusinessTips

As the curtains begin to rise on a new year, the stage of life suggest that we ponder the roles people play in our personal narratives. It’s associated to a grand theater where individuals find their places—some in the front row, some in the balcony, and others relegated to the parking lot. The front row represents a select few—those special souls who walk alongside us through the highs and lows. Rita refers to them as our Ride-or-Dies! Good read
"Sade Lythcott, the chief executive of National Black Theater, said she saw the moment as “less of a crisis than an opportunity to look at our value set. Audiences formed new patterns, they are not coming back in the way that they used to, and, this may be controversial, but there’s also a lot of natural attrition,” she said. “Where you see a lot of the pain is in larger organizations that feel too big to fail. They’re cutting staff, and it is devastating and indicative of a shift in audience behavior, but there’s also a right-sizing that’s happening, because of what was perhaps an unsustainable relationship with boards and philanthropies.” https://lnkd.in/g6RsGJCV

A new post on a story that never gets old… 🎻 **When Talent Goes Unnoticed: The Joshua Bell Story** 🎻 Did you know that world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell once performed incognito in a New York City subway station, and hardly anyone noticed him? Just days earlier, he had played to a sold-out theater where patrons paid hundreds of dollars to hear him. This striking contrast highlights a crucial lesson: Environment Matters. Many of us, like Joshua Bell in the subway, find ourselves in places where our talents, hard work, and dedication go unrecognized. We give our all, yet the appreciation and rewards don't seem to follow. The key takeaway? Know your worth and go where you are valued. When you arm yourself with value and confidence, and remove yourself from an environment that isn't serving you, you begin to thrive and grow. Surround yourself with those who recognize and appreciate your contributions. It’s in these environments that you can truly shine. Don't settle for less. Go where you are appreciated, valued, and can make the impact you are destined to achieve. #KnowYourWorth #ValueYourself #GoWhereYouAreAppreciated #JoshuaBell #Motivation #Inspiration

People can be so amazing. I love this story. It's nearly impossible to keep up with all that's happening in our world and so often it's gloom and doom. It used to be you could watch the nightly news for 30 minutes and get it all in one quick go. Now, the news cycle is 24/7 and people are doom scrolling to be sure they're not missing anything. But that's a slow drain on your energy and it just feeds stress. It can also feed the feelings of division. It can be hard to quit doom scrolling and some even have greater anxiety when they stop. Instead, might I suggest setting a timer for 30 minutes? When it goes off, pause what you're watching and look for some good news. Not only will that give you a break, but it sets an algorithm so when you go back to watching/listening, your options will include wonderful stories, good news, and maybe even a puppy or two. Take care of yourself and your mental health by balancing and expanding what you are taking in. What we consume - mentally as well as physically - impacts our lives and our health. #mentalhealth #holidaystress #politics #coaching #Christmas #health #news #goodnews
“It was a portal back in time." Tucked away behind a wall in Atlanta's Plaza Theatre, untouched for decades, was a withered burgundy wallet – frozen in time and "chock full of history."
A mother lost her wallet in the 1950s. Now, a family is reconnecting with lost history

To get where you want to go… As a younger man, Reginald Kenneth Dwight aka Elton John was playing backup keyboards for an all black band. Reginald asks Wilson (lead singer) his advice for how to make it in the business. Wilson: I’m a skinny black kid from Detroit, whose real name is Rodney Jones. And I played roadside joints for ten years before I realized what I had to do. Reginald: What, change your name? Wilson: It’s not just your name. You got to kill the person you were born to be in order to become the person you want to be. ***** Who do You need to become to pull this off? Your endgame. #steveborekcoaching

When life presents challenges, it can be overwhelming to face them alone. That's why it's important to remember the strength of your team. Your team is made up of individuals with unique skill sets that can contribute to your success. Take inspiration from my friend Rosie, a young widow who has not let Gorham Stouts Disease hold her back. She recently traveled to London and enjoyed the Six Musical at the Vaudeville Theater. Rosie's determination and willingness to lean on her team for support is a reminder that we are stronger together. Remember, it's okay to ask for help and rely on your team when facing challenges. Let Rosie's story inspire you to keep pushing forward and never give up on your goals. #teamwork #goals #WRTWT

How to #lead now... COCONUT The following day Pepe woke up last. Gaga and Lucky already played in the tunnel. They just slipped back through and rumbled out on stalk. Pepe hugged both and knocked goodbye three times with the drumsticks, knock, knock, knock. Then he took off on Grandma's carpet. Finally, he had to find the green button and bring it to his grandmother. (to read the full blog please click on the picture below) My key takeaways: 1. TREASURE IS NOT WHAT YOU HAVE BUT WHAT YOU DO WITH IT. 2. THE REAL VALUE COMES NOT FROM COMPARING BUT FROM CREATING IT. 3. CHANGE STARTS WITH CHANGING PERSPECTIVE. https://lnkd.in/e3f8KQsx

Broadway was first nicknamed the “Great White Way” back in 1902 due to the bright lights of the marquees, billboards, and posters. The Olympia was the first Broadway theater to use electric lights in 1895. But the theater scene is not where the internationally known, north-south thoroughfare got its name. Broadway is a translation from the Dutch phrase brede weg, or "broad road." Here’s a fun fact: Broadway follows the “Mohican Trail” created by the Lenape. #propertymanagement #propertymanager #propertycare #propertymaintenance #homemaintenance #nyc #residential #manhattan #history #broadway
