This is a 43-second elevator pitch example. Does your elevator pitch sound like an opera singer? Me-me-me-me-me. That's the wrong emphasis. It's about your prospect, not you. It can be client facing when you take the pain points of your ideal prospect and use them with emotional trigger words to get the attention of your listeners. The pattern is: give a compliment, share a pain point, then the impact if that challenge isn't resolved. Limited and expandable. Precious and forgotten. We all say we want more time, but the truth is we would squander extra time the same ways we squander the time we have. Time is not the problem – it’s our approach to time that’s the problem. We say time is precious, but do we act like it’s precious? We say time is precious, but are we typically present in each moment of time. We say time is precious, do we notice and learn from the situation where time stands still or disappears? Time is precious but only if we act like it’s precious. Time is expandable and can be amplified when we are present in and with the time we have. Don’t wish for more time. Would anyone notice? That's exactly what happened when #JoshuaBell, a musical virtuoso and one of the world's most talented violinists, went undercover as a street performer in 2007. Monday Motivation: Procrastination's Soap Opera 🏡 Let’s start this week by addressing that notorious troublemaker: Procrastination. Married to the lovely Ambition, Procrastination has a sneaky mistress named Neglect and a best friend named Depression. Procrastination tells you to binge-watch another episode or take a nap instead of working on your goals. His mistress, Neglect, whispers that your tasks can wait until tomorrow. Meanwhile, best friend Depression crashes the party, making you feel like you’re stuck in quicksand. And poor Ambition? She’s left heartbroken, watching her dreams slip away, neglected and ignored. But today is a new day! Don’t let Procrastination steal another moment. Take that first step, however small. Remember, success isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment—it’s about making every moment count. So, let’s show Procrastination who’s boss. Let’s give Ambition the love she deserves. The statement "It's not over until the fat lady sings" emphasizes the importance of perseverance and patience in problem-solving. Challenges and setbacks are common, but the key is to keep pushing forward and exploring different approaches until a solution is found.
