Nice illustration, Jennie Wheeler. How many conclusions do we make (with limited data) that turn out to be incorrect when we see the big picture? Everything makes more sense with #dataintegration.
Passionate integrated analytics champion. I help business leaders uncover unique, actionable insights and achieve impactful financial outcomes through optimal use of workforce and benefits data.
Sometimes you KNOW you’re doing the right thing, even when there isn’t a measurable #ROI. When we saw a huge study that found NO medical cost reduction associated with depression #MedicationAdherence… we wondered if our #IntegratedData would show the same thing. Turns out, people with low adherence were absent a total of 14.2 extra days (adding together unplanned absence, workers' compensation, disability, and leave). When we put data together in the right way, we can see the whole picture – invisible to those who only see one outcome. Workpartners #integrateddata #analyticinsights

Is your business data driven? I’d hope so… BUT which data do you consider most important? ✅ If your people are your priority, then your retention and sickness rates should be monitored closely… ✅ Both are key indicators as to whether your people are engaged and valued. ✅ And without analysing the current data around them, how can you assess the situation and make improvements… So, when did you last review your retention or sickness data? Please don’t say you’ve never 🤦🏼♀️ #PeopleFirst #HRSupport #Data

Day 20 #OneDayAtATime Problem: Table: Employee +---------------+---------+ | Column Name | Type | +---------------+---------+ | employee_id | int | | department_id | int | | primary_flag | varchar | +---------------+---------+ (employee_id, department_id) is the primary key (combination of columns with unique values) for this table. employee_id is the id of the employee. department_id is the id of the department to which the employee belongs. primary_flag is an ENUM (category) of type ('Y', 'N'). If the flag is 'Y', the department is the primary department for the employee. If the flag is 'N', the department is not the primary. Employees can belong to multiple departments. When the employee joins other departments, they need to decide which department is their primary department. Note that when an employee belongs to only one department, their primary column is 'N'. Write a solution to report all the employees with their primary department. For employees who belong to one department, report their only department. Return the result table in any order. The result format is in the following example. Example 1: Input: Employee table: +-------------+---------------+--------------+ | employee_id | department_id | primary_flag | +-------------+---------------+--------------+ | 1 | 1 | N | | 2 | 1 | Y | | 2 | 2 | N | | 3 | 3 | N | | 4 | 2 | N | | 4 | 3 | Y | | 4 | 4 | N | +-------------+---------------+--------------+ Output: +-------------+---------------+ | employee_id | department_id | +-------------+---------------+ | 1 | 1 | | 2 | 1 | | 3 | 3 | | 4 | 3 | +-------------+---------------+ #sql #sqlquery #dataanalysis #OneDayAtATime #LEETCODE50SQL

📜 Please complete our online survey! 📜 https://lnkd.in/eh8c97UK I am currently leading a project funded by a NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) Work and Health Development Award to explore how individuals with any long-term condition or disability can be supported to self-manage their health or disability at work. To facilitate this, we are developing a new toolkit called Co-Manage. Co-Manage aims to provide easy-to-use guides and tools (e.g., checklists, infographics, video tutorials, templates, communications) that individuals (or workers), line managers, organisations, and health professionals, can use together (co-manage) to support self-management in the workplace. Co-Manage will be available online and a developmental "wireframe" is available to view via https://lnkd.in/eBWSjhVF. Your input will be invaluable to ensuring that Co-Manage is fit-for-purpose. We would like to invite you to complete up to three online surveys to inform our future design and development decisions. You may answer from the perspective of an individual (or worker) with a long-term condition or disability, a line manager, an employer stakeholder (e.g., HR), a health professional, and/or any other relevant group. This first survey should take around 15-20 minutes to complete. You can save your progress and return at any point before the survey closes in 2-weeks’ time at 11:45pm, 28 June 2024.
