It is important for those with this disease to stay active and participate in types of activities that may stir up memories and lessen the anxiety and agitation they may be experiencing. In a recent blog post, our team of Care Coaches compiled some great ideas on how to create a significant experience for your loved one with Alzheimer’s. FOREVER YOUNG PRO IS 3 WEEKS AWAY!!! Now this one could be easy and hard all at the same time.... Welcome to today's edition of our Retro Prom Photos... Who is this??? For today we wanted to share a little about Alzheimer's Disease. Please take a moment to read about the 10 early signs of Alzheimer's Disease below. See the first 5 in today's post. 1. Memory loss that disrupts daily life One of the most common signs of Alzheimer’s disease, especially in the early stage, is forgetting recently learned information. Others include forgetting important dates or events, asking the same questions over and over, and increasingly needing to rely on memory aids (e.g., reminder notes or electronic devices) or family members for things they used to handle on their own. What's a typical age-related change? Sometimes forgetting names or appointments, but remembering them later. 2. Challenges in planning or solving problems 3. Difficulty completing familiar tasks 4. Confusion with time or place 5. Trouble understanding visual images and spatial relationships #promredo #letsdance #foreveryoungprom #alzsucks #ENDALZ Register for Prom Here: https://lnkd.in/gtXm2UuK

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Indiana Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m a huge supporter of increasing awareness to those who may begin to exhibit signs of Alzheimer’s, the brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking, and reasoning skills. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, here are 10 Early Signs and Symptoms: 1️⃣ Memory loss that disrupts daily life 2️⃣ Challenges in planning or solving problems 3️⃣ Difficulty completing familiar tasks at home, at work, or at leisure 4️⃣ Confusion with time or place 5️⃣ Trouble understanding visual images and spatial relationships 6️⃣ New problems with words in speaking or writing 7️⃣ Misplacing things and losing the ability to retrace steps 8️⃣ Decreased or poor judgment 9️⃣ Withdrawal from work or social activities 🔟 Changes in mood and personality If you notice any of these signs in yourself or a loved one, it's important to consult a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. You can learn more about these early signs and symptoms and how they compare to common age-related symptoms here: https://lnkd.in/gu8cXpgp #ENDALZ #Walk2EndAlz
