What is a resume and why do I need one? ✨A resume is a formal document that showcases your job experiences, skills, awards/certifications and educational experiences. Your resume should include your name and contact information, as well as your educational background. It should also include a personal objective that speaks about your career goals. There should be a description of skills and tasks performed under each job experience as well as your start and end date. It is a good idea to list any software skills and soft skills you have. ✨ Want help preparing for the Career Fair? Face coverings are required for entry into the career fair if posted by the venue hosting the event. A career fair may be rescheduled due to circumstances outside of our control for multiple reasons. You are strongly encouraged to register as an applicant on our website to receive the latest updates. A minimum of 72 hours notice will be given if a career fair is rescheduled. Travel across state lines is not recommended to attend a career fair. Each attending company has their own hiring and application guidelines. Please contact us to submit a resume in advance to the attending companies. Special Accommodation requests must be made in writing and received at least 21 days prior to the career fair for consideration. What should I bring to the Career Fair? ✨Ensure you bring the following essentials to the Career Fair: your resume, thorough research on the companies of interest, and a high level of confidence. It is also advisable to carry a notepad or notebook and a pen for jotting down notes between booths. To protect your resume from damage, keep it in a folder or a secure location. Prepare a prioritized list of companies you wish to visit, along with relevant questions for the employers. Be mindful of the items you bring with you and try to leave unnecessary belongings in your car or at home, as there will be no designated place to store personal items at the fair.✨ Want help preparing for the Career Fair?
