What causes a wide QRS and why does it matter? 🤔 ECG is a graphical representation of the electrical activity of the heart measured in voltage ⚡(amplitude) over time ⏰ (seconds). The QRS designation represents ventricular depolarization. Each action of the cardiac cycle has a 'normal' amount of time that it should occur within. I am excited to share my latest article, "Humanism in Medicine: A Cardiac Patient's Perspective," recently published by the American College of Cardiology. In this article, I reflect on my personal journey as both a medical student and a patient. My patient experience deepened my understanding of the human side of medicine and reinforced the importance of compassionate care.
