Having finally accepted that my golf game plateaued along time ago and that no amount of playing will make a difference to this tragic truth, it was great to attend my first event back at the Capital Club Dubai since I renewed my membership last month. Many congratulations to the panel of Andrew Mortimer, Omar AlYawer, Jody Waugh and Loai Bataineh, MF, MBA on what was a very interesting event on the subject of the UAE's new bankruptcy law. An extremely helpful background to the law and insight to what the possible implications for the UAE economy could be, was provided by this top draw panel. In keeping with my memory of past events at the club from my previous time as a member between 2017 - 2020, I was pleased to see David Moleshead raising his hand as soon as the audience were invited to ask questions, to ask another excellent question. A special mention is due to Lara Sif Hrafnkelsdottir , who in addition to doing a great job moderating, had clearly put a lot of work into organising the event. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to make Lara's acquaintance at the end of the event. In closing I must also acknowledge Dalida A. for being of great help to me during the membership renewal process and thus allowing me to enjoy Tuesday morning's great event.
