I rarely post on LinkedIn. But, there is something worth sharing. There is a lot of conversation going on about AI, but honestly most of them fall short of giving any practical examples. I hate that. Everything is just surface talks, and I believe the ones who are doing the work are busy doing it, instead of talking about it. However, this time of the year our team at Superside steps out of their AI lab and together with speakers from Zapier, Microsoft and more will talk details. If you are a marketer, a designer, an ops manager and you know you have to do something with AI, this is the event for you. Instead of surface-level, Superside's AI event will dive deep into practices, tools, mistakes, and things you can start doing tomorrow. By the end of it, you'll be able to speed up your design production, have more assets to test with, have assets that convert better, and work better together as a team using AI. The methods shown were used to produce cases you can see here cutting production by up to 70%: https://lnkd.in/dd7c7kte Secure your spot before the event sells - click here: https://hubs.li/Q02wn9S40

Creative designer of head-turning, eye-popping, visual solutions that enhance marketing communications, print & package design, corporate identity and brand awareness.
Big fan of this design YouTube channel for industry and program related insight. The topic here: how A.I. is transforming image upscaling. Really interesting and fantastic results. Curious how other designers are feeling about A.I. in our field? I just witnessed A.I. create 2000 various web banners in under 5 minutes, and they all looked fantastic. So, is it just another tool? Should I be investing less in Adobe and Figma, and more time, effort and money into Milwaukee and DeWalt and the skilled trades? https://lnkd.in/gWNXtzYt

Last week, ADPList organized a session with someone we all know in the UX Design industry, and maybe beyond: Don Norman. Until now, I've heard about Don Norman from books, online courses, and other designers. But it was a pleasure to listen to him live for myself. Now, he's not just someone I've heard about somewhere; he's a role model for me both personally and professionally. The main personal takeaway I gleaned from the session is as follows: ✨ The role of the designers can become the most important profession of all because design combines the understanding of people (they are designing for people and society), and understanding of technology (it is basically everything created by humans). ✨ Designers need to be mindful of the impact their designs have on the environment and on human behavior, such as addiction to scrolling and losing track of time on unimportant things. ✨ Don't only concentrate on drawing skills! Think outside the box and learn about different subjects like economics, history, politics, medicine, engineering, marketing, and more. Learn to collaborate with people from different areas of disciplines. Invest in developing design thinking. ✨ What's more crucial, theory or practice? This question was common during my university days. But you know what? As Don Norman said, there is a difference between what is needed to do things and what is needed to understand the underlying principles, both are necessary... they go both and forth between industry and academics. ✨ We have to learn to understand the differences, and different cultures and work with them and accommodate them. 🔥 And my favorite one. "The reason why design should be the most important topic of all is that WE ARE DOERS, we aren't just thinkers, we owe it; we make changes that make a difference to people's lives, which means we have to understand things way beyond what is traditionally called design, we have to understand, well ... maybe about everything." His words motivate me to learn more, to get out of my box (my comfort zone), to learn about other cultures, and to learn about other disciplines and humans. Write in the comments, what drives you to develop? What makes you love what you do? And if you want to listen to the full session, you can check the link below.
