Please check out my latest blog on how enlisting an awards expert can help bring home the gold. Thanks Business Intelligence Group for the opportunity to tell the world why they need one!
Ethan Hawke recently shared some valuable advice he got from Denzel Washington about winning awards. He said, "You don’t want an award to improve your status. You want to improve the award’s status." This is a powerful statement that challenges us to think about the true value of awards. It's not about personal recognition, but about elevating the award itself.

The business I run is tiny compared to those run by these 90 business leaders but I happily associate with their endorsement Vice President and former Senator, Attorney General and District Attorney KAMALA HARRIS...
We endorse Kamala Harris's election as President of the United States.
Her election is the best way to support the continued strength, security, and reliability of our democracy and economy. With Harris in the White House, the business community can be confident that it will have a President who wants American industries to thrive. As a partner to President Biden, Vice President Harris has a strong record of advancing actions to spur business investment in the United States and ensure American businesses can compete and win in the global market. She will continue to advance fair and predictable policies that support the rule of law, stability, and a sound business environment, and she will strive to give every American the opportunity to pursue the American dream.

In the spirit of starting new and embracing the grace of growth, I ask: What does beginning again mean to you? Share your insights below and let's explore this theme further at the 'Elevate Her Lead' event. Together, we can turn new grounds into fertile opportunities for expansion.
Impact = Influence
A friend reached out to share how one staff almost won all the award categories during their organization's end-of-the-year dinner/award night.
He felt bad for not being able to secure enough votes to take home an award that was so appealing to him.
So I asked him if there was vote-buying he replied No.😂😂😂
Then that is what you get when you're always the last to arrive at the office and the first to go home. An advocate of your colleagues are not your friends, do your job and go home.
So you do your job and go home with ZERO IMPACT.
Some people will watch colleagues struggle to complete tasks they have easy solutions. Others will gossip about their team members' inadequacies rather than help proffer solutions.
How then do you want to be influential without IMPACT? Impact begat influence. It's a natural order, People will follow you naturally when you have impacted their lives in one way or the other no matter how small.
It's a new year, we all can do better
We shall not fail.

Do you secretly wonder if you should just shut down your business? I'd be willing to bet every CEO has pondered that at some point.
This week, we honor 3 Vistage CEOs who stayed course in spite of challenges and ended up winning the SBA Awards.
"You might feel like you’re done, but don’t give up," says CEO Austin Tsosie. "No one can predict the next war, pandemic or interest-rate fluctuation. Focusing on your strategic plan should you get you through these things, and Vistage really helped clarify that for me."
