The Baader-Meinhof phenomenon (also known as the Baader-Meinhof effect or the frequency illusion) is a name for the experience of learning of or encountering something for the first time and then very soon after encountering it again, often in multiple places. The sensation is thought to result from having an increased awareness of the thing after the first encounter. For example, immediately after learning a new word, many people have the experience of immediately encountering it again, sometimes in several different pieces of writing over a short period of time, making it seem like a strange coincidence. -- The three of us of Next Level Parks (Jake Walker, William Anglin and myself) had a few days together on the road last week. One day we locked ourselves in a room with large sticky pads, sharpies and planned the next 3 months. As all good stat ups do, we got pizza, and look at what the box had to say... even pizza can be taken to the Next Level! It is 29/02/2024. The day occurs once every 4 years. Coincidentally, it is also my semester break! I never thought I would use a photo from Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park as a post, until I found it meaningful for me. This trip was with my coursemates. We bought tickets for the outdoor theme park. Initially, I thought I would wait for them while they played games. It was too breathtaking for me, and I didn't think I could manage it. With their encouragement, companionship, and care, and without our knowledge that the first station was a 360-degree rotation, we became more daring for the next station. However, I would like to highlight that the Boot Camp Training was the only station that really challenged me! We have to queue and have turn one by one. This time, my friends could not help me anymore; they were not by my side. From the depths of my heart, I was nervous, but in the end, I still made it. We unlocked most of the stations available from 10 AM to 6 PM. It was exhausting but satisfying. The lesson learned today is that friends can encourage us, accompany us, and listen to us at times.
