The temp stores allow digital natives to test the brick-and-mortar waters, augment their customer engagement, amplify their brand, and increase ⬆️ their market presence. On top of that, pop-ups can also benefit the host venue. 📍For example, SKIMS by Kim Kardashian, brought a big traffic rush to Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Plaza where they opened their pop-up between May 16-29. 📌 According to Placer.ai, visitors to Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Plaza spiked during the period, not only for the SKIMS pop-up but also for nearby businesses. In the 1980s videos were supposed to bring about the end of suburban cinemas. Instead cinemas boomed, because people have a basic human need to be with people - to go out - and because more product was created to serve the video industry (& cinemas). Then DVDs came and that was supposed to be the end. I know this has been said many times before but if there's one thing you can bank on, it's that change is the constant when it comes to retail property. The evolution continues. What's next?
