"The greater Kuda is still within you, the potential you possess will make you surpass a lot of boundaries drawn in your life." This advice was from the late Oom Lionel. 2. Who would you switch roles with in the company and why? I would switch roles with any machine operator because my goal is to achieve greater output with high-quality produce for our customers. Efficiency, punctuality, self-dedication, and passion for the work are key to increasing productivity. 3. If you could have dinner with any business leader or mentor, who would it be? I greatly admire my boss Christiaan's calmness and humility since I entered the fresh produce industry in 2010. Jobs I have done and lessons learned that you will not find on my CV, but have influenced my life positively. 📍Bartender (at a restaurant) ▪️Lesson learned: Listen more than you speak and the importance of confidentiality. 📍Farm Assistant (at my dad’s farm) ▪️Lesson learned: Hard work will not kill you. Even animals deserve to be treated with respect. 📍Hotel Manager (at a family-owned hotel) ▪️Lesson learned: Customer is king, give them a memorable experience that keeps them coming back. 📍Livestock Farmer (my mini farm) ▪️Lesson learned: Embrace failure, it’s part of the process. 📍Data Entry Assistant (at a brewery) ▪️Lesson learned: Having a skill is not enough you have to learn the business of that skill. 📍Procurement Officer (at my dad’s company) ▪️Lesson learned: As a business owner, you have to be involved in the process Sometimes doing tasks that are ‘beneath you’. 📍Personal Shopper ▪️Lesson learned: Your business is not about you give the customers what they want.
