While making my research on luxury, I found this definition and interesting comment after about the luxury. “Luxury is a state of great comfort and elegance, especially when involving great expense. In the past, the word luxury means the highest quality products, the highest status and great in store experience. That definition is still true and there are many consumers for whom that will always be the only definition of luxury. But consumers are changing, retail is changing, and the very definition of what luxury means is changing for a lot of consumers, especially younger one. Three T’s are new expanded definition of luxury. Time, Truth and Trust. Now my question is how do you connect these with hospitality and guest services? P.S. this cute tiny bouquet reminded me the times of pre-opening of Inter-Continental Astana. Having fresh flowers in all guest areas and rooms was very luxury. As 26 years back to get fresh exotic flowers while it’s -28 outside was a real challenge.. Do you remember that time..
