As we embrace the vibrant festivities of Holi, it's important to remember that joy knows no age. However, for our beloved parents, celebrating safely is key to enjoying this colorful festival to the fullest. Here are a few tips for a joyful and safe Holi: Go Organic: Choose natural, organic colors for a safer celebration. They're gentler on the skin and the environment. Hydration is Key: Keep water close at hand to stay hydrated throughout the day. Skin & Hair Care: A layer of oil on your skin and hair before playing can work wonders in protecting you and easing the post-Holi cleanup. Dress Smart: Opt for full coverage with long-sleeved shirts and full-length pants to minimize direct contact with colors. Take it Easy: Enjoy the festivities at your own pace. Listen to your body, and don't hesitate to take breaks. Eat Wisely: Relish the festive foods in moderation, especially if you're mindful of dietary restrictions. Safety First: Celebrate in safe, familiar environments to prevent any accidents. Health Precautions: Don’t forget your regular health checks and medications amidst the festivities. Stay Connected: Keep your phone and emergency contacts accessible. Let’s ensure a safe, inclusive, and vibrant Holi for everyone, celebrating the essence of this beautiful festival - unity, joy, and the triumph of good over evil. May your Holi be filled with joyful colors and warm memories! Stay safe and have a wonderful Holi!

Wishing you peace, health and happiness during the Dragon Boat Festival! The Dragon Boat Festival has its origins in ancient China, where the fifth day of the fifth lunar month was considered an extremely unlucky and dangerous time. To ward off evil spirits, people developed rituals and customs that became the Dragon Boat Festival we know today. The festival's activities and traditions are believed to drive away bad luck and misfortune. Eating sticky rice dumplings, known as #zongzi, is a central tradition of the #DragonBoatFestival. Wrapped in bamboo leaves, zongzi are made with glutinous rice and can be filled with either sweet ingredients like lotus seed or red bean paste, or savory fillings such as pork belly, conpoy, beans, and salted egg yolks. While there are countless creative variations on zongzi these days, they are typically steamed or boiled and served with soy sauce or sugar. I have a sweet tooth, so prefer the red bean paste one. What about you, what filling do you like or maybe both?

Holi - the festival of colors, joy, and unbridled revelry. This year's Holi celebrations were a riot (pun intended) of unprecedented proportions. As I nursed my sore muscles and scrubbed off the last vestiges of Gulaal from my skin, I couldn't help but reflect on the profound life lessons this Holi had to offer. So without further ado, here are 5 game-changing learnings I'm taking away from this festival: 1. Release and Renewal: Letting go of past burdens fosters personal growth and brighter days ahead. 2. Childlike Wonder: Rediscovering joy and spontaneity enriches our lives, reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously. 3. Unity in Diversity: Holi's inclusive spirit teaches us to celebrate our differences and find strength in unity. 4. Adaptability: Embracing spontaneity and quick thinking leads to creative solutions and resilience in the face of challenges. 5. Self-Nurturing: Prioritizing self-care amidst the chaos ensures we can fully enjoy life's festivities and rejuvenate for what lies ahead. So there you have it, folks - 5 life-changing learnings from this year's Holi celebrations. Who knew that a festival of colors could be so deeply profound? Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to plan my Holi celebrations for next year. After all, the more chaos, the merrier! #holi #learning
