BURN received a Letter of Authorization from the Malawi Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change (MNRCC) to implement carbon projects amounting to the distribution of 2 million natural and forced draft biomass stoves, as well as electric induction cooking suites. This will benefit ~8 million people while preserving forests, decreasing indoor air pollution, and reducing carbon emissions.  BURN will also establish a factory in Lilongwe in 2024 and employ ~1000 Malawians over the next 5 years.   Photo Credit: Statehouse Malawi #Malawi #CleanCooking #CarbonMarkets #SustainableDevelopment #CarbonDoneCorrectly #ElectricCooking #ClimateAction #BURN #Biomass #CleanCookingAppliances #CleanCookstoves #CleanCookingSolutions

A simple and sustainable way to truly impact almost half the population immediately and even more long-term and indirectly! Bravo! 👏🏽 We pray for full transparency in execution and annual reporting on progress with no hiccups that can’t be overcome. So much of Malawi are half-built projects “to the windows” with no budget or plan to get the “roof” on for completion and sustainability..😢🙆🏽♂️. We pray BURN shines all the way through on this great initiative for The Warm Heart and her people

This a good news to Malawi. The writings are now on the walls that we will have our own factory for Cook stoves by the end of this year, not so! Is my guess correct? Job well the Management of Burn, and You are welcome to Malawi, the Warm Heart Of Africa. I hope we will enjoy frying our chambo fish using burn stoves. Move with Time
