In a recent survey, BSI found that 62% of people globally seek out environmental and sustainability claims when purchasing goods, and three quarters would change their consumer habits to support organizations acting on water efficiency. The retail sector has ample opportunities to engage in water stewardship. Evidence also suggests consumers are willing to spend more on brands that positively impact global water security. BSI research found that two thirds of people would spend more on clothing that use less water intensive materials, and the same proportion would spend more on brands that demonstrate positive action on water efficiency. KPMG Australia has been announced as the first organization in the world to achieve certification by BSI to a globally applicable standard designed to empower safe management of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and build trust to enable its secure and responsible use of AI across society - ISO/IEC 42001. Thị trường Carbon Tự nguyện (Voluntary Carbon Market - VCM) có thể giúp các công ty tiến xa hơn, nhanh hơn và tăng dòng tài chính về khí hậu đến mục tiêu cần thiết. Voluntary Carbon Market Integrity initiative (VCMI) là một sáng kiến đa phương do Chính phủ Vương quốc Anh khởi xướng vào năm 2021 nhằm tăng cường tính toàn vẹn của Thị trường carbon tự nguyện, hướng vào hỗ trợ thực hiện kiểm soát Phạm vi 3. Chương trình này cung cấp một cách tiếp cận dựa trên khoa học để các công ty hành động đối với lượng khí thải nhà kính phạm vi 3 đang cần phải kiểm soát. Tuyên bố Phạm vi 3 có thể được sử dụng như một công cụ bổ sung để các công ty thực hiện hành động khí hậu thông qua thị trường carbon tự nguyện, có thêm dữ liệu minh bạch phục vụ theo yêu cầu của Luật định, các chương trình Báo cáo phát triển bền vững như TCFD, CDP, IFRS, GRI, SBTi… Mở rộng cập nhật phương pháp luận cho Phạm vi 3, VCMI phối hợp cùng BSI thực hiện một cuộc tham vấn công khai, mở từ ngày 02/09/2024 đến ngày 21/10/2024. VCMI đang tìm kiếm ý kiến đóng góp của nhiều bên liên quan để đảm bảo quan điểm của các nhóm khác nhau sẽ được xem xét và trao đổi nghiên cứu. The food sector has a significant role to play in protecting our water resources for continued food production, and for the health of people and the planet. Evidence suggests there are also commercial gains to be won. In a recent survey, BSI found that 62% of people globally seek out environmental and sustainability claims when purchasing goods. This is even more prevalent in the food sector, where nearly seven in ten (68%) of people say they would be willing to spend more on food or beverage products from a brand that demonstrates positive action on water efficiency.
