#WorldPhotographyDay (August 19th, 2024) The World Photo Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. Photography changed our vision of the world, capturing people and places in real time. But with the passing of time, some photographs fade. See how an image may be recovered using the power of an M4 TORNADO especially configured to meet the needs of this heavily faded and damaged historical photograph. The silver X-ray map is able to reproduce the faded portions of the image, while the distribution of iodine in the photograph may provide clues about why this image faded over time. THE FIRST PHOTOGRAPH | पहली तस्वीर | @voicetalent_ben The dawn of photography: In 1826, Joseph Nicéphore Niépce captured "View from the Window at Le Gras," the world's first permanent photograph. This groundbreaking image, created through a process called heliography, opened a new chapter in visual history. I can elaborate on any aspect of this if you'd like - for example, more details on Niépce's process, the historical context, or the image's significance. Let me know if you need anything else for your video. https://lnkd.in/gzhux6uM #all #everyone

This street photography exploration or as my Professor, Sir Anirban Dutta Gupta mentioned - an ethno-photographic narrative - was one of the most interesting assignment of the entire module. For this, we had to find a key character, who is 'making' or 'creating' something to make their ends meet and had to explore the various aspects of their life in a duration of three day. The task was to capture and select those few photographs than can pretty much sum up to narrate their life around their work. Here are a few of the many photographs. https://lnkd.in/gxwF_FQP

Focusing in on the Petri Dish sequence with Galaxy Red This shows the photographic sequence appear as I was working with inks in a petri dish with movement introduced by pipette(s). Like so much in life, these are fleeting, evanescent images that disappeared in seconds Interpretations are often quite diverse. How would you frame the final image? What room would you place this photograph in? DM if you have questions. Have a great week. Jim #photography #macrophotography #Red #minimalism

https://lnkd.in/djDAaQJk My project, "Ce lăsăm în urma noastră?", explores the hidden significance of abandoned buildings through photography and digital collage. It challenges viewers to reflect on the ephemerality of life and the legacy we leave behind, connecting past, present, and future.

Let's talk about three overarching factors that determine the value of a photograph. When you're thinking about buying a photograph and asking yourself “is this a good investment?” make sure that you have an understanding of the following things: 📌 1. Where the Artist fits within the History of Photography and how they contributed to pushing the medium forward 📌 2. Where the image fits within the arc of the photographer's career and within the particular body of work 📌 3. The history & condition of the photographic object itself ➡️ Like if you learned something valuable from this post! #collecting #fineartphotography #investing
