Let's look ahead at September weather for golf courses across the country. ⬇️ In the comparison years, much of the eastern United States begins to dry, however... 🏌️ Clubs along the Gulf Coast might be slightly wetter than usual, especially those closer to Texas. ⛳ Golf club operators in the Plains can also expect their courses to be much wetter than usual. This also applies to courses extending into Montana and Wyoming. 🏌️♀️ In the West, playing conditions are expected to be drier than average, especially in the Southwest

The record number of people who played on a golf course for the first time in 2023: 3.4 Million The industry has had 10 straight years with more than 2 million beginners, with the past four topping 3 million. Prior to the pandemic-boosted totals of recent years, the previous recorded-high of 2.4 million was set in 2000, when Tiger Woods was at the height of his popularity. Off-course forms of golf -- such as entertainment golf venues -- are proving a valuable on-ramp for introductions, helping participants build confidence and comfort before visiting a golf course for the first time. Retention and conversion of newcomers remains an industry focus, and obstacle. #golfstatistics #andrewaheron

Where are my golfers? I’m excited for this event…you know I specialise in leadership training but did you know there are SO many similarities between golf and being a leader? Playing golf has taught me so much about leadership! 🏌️♂️ Just like in golf, being a great leader means staying focused, being patient, and thinking strategically. Here are a few lessons golf has reinforced: 1. **Preparation is Key**: Just as I practice my swing, leaders must prepare for meetings and projects. 2. **Adaptability**: Weather changes on the course, and business conditions change too. Adapt and keep moving forward. 3. **Patience and Resilience**: Not every shot lands where you want it. Learn from mistakes and stay resilient. Both golf and leadership are continuous journeys of improvement. Let's keep refining our skills and striving for excellence! See you in June at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce golf event at Royal Ashburn Golf Club #Leadership #Golf #ContinuousLearning #Resilience #leadershiptraining #teetime #supportlocal #chamberofcommerce #businessowner #whitby
