✨ On Monday, we kicked off the Lancaster Chamber’s Discovering Paths Mentoring Program with our first full group session. Check out a few of the fantastic photos my colleague, Jared Spackman, captured of our time together! ✨ The Discovering Paths Mentoring Program is a transformative initiative designed to inspire, guide, and empower high school juniors as they explore their career aspirations, build professional skills, and connect with local business leaders. This session, Discovering Me, was a powerful start to the journey, helping students gain self-awareness and practical tools to thrive in the workplace. This year, we are excited to serve 142 students from 17 high schools in Lancaster County, with 142 mentors representing 112 companies throughout the community. Students dove deep into their DISC+ profiles, learned about workplace norms, and explored Career Ready Lancaster!'s High 5 Skills—all while making valuable connections. This morning, Bruce Fry, Monica Trego and I packed roughly 192 meal boxes with our friends at Power Packs Project. 🍲 Power Packs has a mission to not only feed families, but to also empower them with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so students return to school ready to learn. 🎒 As someone who grew up often relying on organizations like this, it makes me incredibly proud that I now work for a company (Tanger) who gives us 40 hours of volunteer time.
