I am so excited that the CUHK School of Journalism and Communication is going to host the 3rd Media Professionals in Residence Programme in the new academic year 2024-2025. Conceptualised and spearheaded by Kecheng Fang, and hosted across the wide spectrum of our specialisations, the Residence programme comes with an innovative hybrid model, a substantial endowment of 90,000 HKD ( USD 11,500 / Euro 10,500) and a fantastic opportunity for professionals and practitioners from around the world, to engage with academic research, teaching, and societal transformation.
This year's theme on 'Living with AI', is a provocation which shifts attention from merely using AI to living with it, thinking about co-existence with AI and the social, economic, political, personal, and human reconfigurations that it leads to. The residency is a unique opportunity for professionals to find a robust, safe, and inspiring homebase in Hong Kong and access to the scholarship and developments in the region.
If you are a practitioner and a professional in digital media - in private sector, social enterprise, arts and culture, civil society, or any other discipline and field - we would love for you to have a look and consider applying for the residency to spend time with us in Hong Kong.
If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to me to talk more about this programme in its new iteration.
