This is my fourth year raising awareness and funds for #ovariancancerresearch and there is still so much to do.
The current 5year survival rate for ovarian cancer is 49%. We can change that by funding medical research for early detection and treatment.

I think the entire #linkedincommunity is at its best when focused on supporting others in the pursuit of goals. Do you agree?
Gregory Bebbington, a dear friend and recent guest on #comfychairspodcast, has a BIG goal this year:
✨ Complete #pelotonia for the tenth year in a row—AND raise $10k to honor his late wife, Melissa. ✨
Let’s break it down:
🚴♂️10 endurance races is a big deal. (IYKYK)
💰Fundraising for a charity is a big endeavor. (#teamintraining alum here and I can vouch for it).
💞Sharing your why can be a big challenge. (We’ve all been there.)
This is a chance to show up in big ways to support a great cause! Obviously, donations will go a long way, but there are so many ways to support a goal like this:
➡️ Amplify the cause—whether it’s Greg’s participation or someone in your own life.
➡️ Consider participating yourself.
➡️ Send your thoughts and prayers to everyone training for the race. (This is the right use for those!)
➡️ Take charge of your own health and get educated on cancer screening.
Whatever way you can support, I know it will have a big impact!
Apologies for the personal post, but I'm sure I can be forgiven for this one. Some may know and many do no not that 10 years ago, I lost my amazing wife Melissa to Cancer. Every year since I have participated in the Pelotonia Bike Ride to raise money for THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY WEXNER MEDICAL CENTER, COMPREHENSIVE CANCER. This year being my 10th year riding I have committed to raising $5k as a "High Roller", but it would be wonderful to make that $10k for the 10th year. Please consider donating what you can. And also as it is the first day of Colon Cancer Awareness Month, please get yourself check out!

She’s dedicated to running a marathon every single day for BIG. 🙌
In 2024, MarathonWoman366 is taking on the challenge to support breast cancer research and raise crucial funds for BIG on 👉http://MoveforBIG.orgps://shorturl.at/tuAT0.
This extraordinary endeavor proves that no project is too BIG. There are plenty of ways you too can #MoveforBIG as an individual, but not only.
For companies, consider engaging your team in a company-wide fundraising challenge through MoveforBIG.org. It not only fosters team spirit but also provides a dynamic and enjoyable approach to raising essential funds for BIG, advancing breast cancer research.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause that's especially important to our team and founder Marina Sinnott Showalter. In honor of her Aunt Joyce, we will be donating 5% of all new projects in October to The Pink Fund. If you're considering a holiday campaign, October's the perfect time to get started and give back. 💕
Here are some additional holidays and events to recognize this October. Want to outsource your content calendar? Aiming to acknowledge and celebrate these dates respectfully? Reach out for a custom strategy!

#7Days2024 is only two weeks away, and our close-knit team of cyclists are preparing to pedal over 1,100 km across Southern Ontario. John Barry, a seven-time participant in the event, explains his commitment to the challenge is fueled by a personal mission to change pancreatic cancer survival rates.
“The end goal is to eliminate cancer; that’s the big goal, and I can’t do it, but I can do my part and help raise money." Read the full article and learn more about #7Days by clicking the link below:
