Brisbane Airport Corporation’s Post

Major maintenance on our Legacy Runway has moved to the city-end of the runway starting with line-marking works to shorten the runway length by blacking out the 'piano keys' and other lines in the construction area. This is to create a safe working environment to undertake the concrete slab removal and replacement while keeping the other end of the runway open for some flights to operate as normal. All wide-body aircraft will now have to use the New Parallel Runway to take-off and land while this construction is happening. Weather permitting, these major works will conclude by the end of September. 📣 PSA: People may notice temporary changes to where aircraft fly during this construction. 🚧 Stay informed about this #FutureBNE project: https://lnkd.in/gSrqbsu4
