EdTech is a soup of vendors and integrations that is always being stirred as new products launch and our budgets for them tighten. This kind of churn isn't for everyone, so when building and backfilling your teams what do you look for? I believe a hardcore expert in technology X isn't always the right answer. Skills can be learned. What about mindset? Initiative? Creative, responsive problem solving? This is especially true in smaller schools where "IT" could be just a handful of heroes trading hats and doing whatever it takes to keep the doors open. Sure, hire X where you need X. But also look for the helpers: the ones who stepped up to learn and crosstrain and lead their team through times of change. They probably won't have 10 years in technology X. Their skills might be all over the place, because while everyone else was playing wait-and-see, that person wasn't afraid to RTFM and get the job done. I mean... that's how we all learned Quicklaunch, isn't it? 😇

When meeting with #edtech startup and business owners. 🤝 The one common question that they ask is, how to scale their business, how to grow as an ed-tech firm❓ The one very simple and straightforward answer that i give, would solve atleast 80% for the problem i.e 👉 1. Keep updating your products & service (course curriculum and syllabus) as per industry need, including strong project portfolio & soft skills development. ✔ 👉 2. Keep your promises which you make during the time of enrollment, in other words the #admissionteam must be aligned with companies vision to shape students career instead of getting enrollment & take salary+ incentives. 💸 👉 3. Hence, in order to follow point no 2, organization must give a proper product knowledge and make sure that entire admission department follows it, by making no false commitment for taking fees. ❌ And rest 20% is pure #operations, how great and smooth the operations team is working, ⭐ a. in terms of what and how well trainers are teaching the course content. 📚 ⭐ b. in terms of smooth co-ordination & planning are between students and relationship manager. 🤝 ⭐ c. in terms of placements & opening, placement teams should always have atleast 25 companies in bucket with minimum 50 vacancies in a month. 💯 ⭐ d. in terms of proper coordination with placement team & relationship manager for evaluating and short list good candidates for placement every month. ✨ Follow these & see the +ve trend in your business. #businessgrowth #businessgrowthstrategy #coordination #qualitytraining #edtech #product #improvement #placement #trainers #students #organisationalchange

Hey Edtech Companies, Here’s a fun fact for you: Today, I opened my inbox to find 5 new requests from Edtech companies wanting me to promote them. Out of those 5: - 4 were generic product pitches. Yawn. - 3 treated me like an active teacher, not someone who helps Edtech companies. - 1 (yes, only ONE) had a customized message showing they'd actually done their homework. I love Edtech, but just like job seekers, if you really want to collaborate, a copy-paste message won’t cut it. #edtech #theedtechguru #teachersoftech #education
