His final conclusions about a topic as dry as 🫁 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 and 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 was so impactful, moving, and powerful that it brought the audience to tears and was met with a standing ovation. Aaron Baugh covers all the controversy, confusion, and nuance surrounding measuring human lung function (which has major implications for work, disability, diagnosis): — Does race matter, and should we throw it out or keep it? —What 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 factors matter as well? —Should they replace or complement race? —Should we be race-neutral, or race-𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴? Aaron should really be giving presentations like this on a national stage. (Hello, American College of Chest Physicians?) Dr. Baugh uses the default Powerpoint template; there are no fancy animations or flourishes. He systematically tackles each and every question, walking you through the nuance and his argument slide by slide. He looks at no notes. He reads no slides. He gives the entire talk from memory. This, ladies and gents, is how you give a medical presentation. (Aaron will be an upcoming millennial physician post as well, but I couldn't help but share this when I found out that Doris Duke Foundation and Council of Medical Specialty Societies recorded it!) https://lnkd.in/gK56qYAy
