A recruiter sends me a message saying she is going to report me to LinkedIn. She accused me of photo-shopping myself into a picture I shared. She did not even give me a chance to explain. The photo is verified. I am now realizing what jobseekers have to go through, because this is the same way, some of them treat candidates. They don't ask questions and just jump to conclusions. Worst yet, if you have an employment gap, you are over a certain age (Overqualified) or you have worked at several jobs (job-hopper). Maybe I am too outspoken but I will not be silenced. Job searching is not easy and I will continue to be a voice for the voiceless. Recruiters, please don't be so quick to label candidates - Give them a chance to explain their work history, instead of just jumping to conclusions and crossing them off! #Brigette #BrigetteHyacinth

I am a recruiter myself. But I am with you... All the best being "VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS"
Agree. That’s shocking. Stick to your guns.
Those who make positive disruptive change often are targets for negative attacks. Keep making an impact, keep voicing your wisdom and keep making a difference Brigette Hyacinth! #muchrespect
Thank you for being outspoken Brigette Hyacinth! I was looking for a job I met so many recruiters, hiring managers looking at my resume judging me that I’m a job hopper. I changed so many jobs. It is not my fault. I’m happily employed right now. I took a temp position and I enjoy it. I think people afraid to take temp job but if they think about every job is temporary they can go for it. It is okay to have a contract job. I might not look for a permanent job. I can always find temp job since I have a skill that I can help employers. I have confidence.
Hmm I believe if someone using an attitude like this to treat a candidate, this recruiter hit rate may low. No ppl wants to be doubted or judged...as a recruiter is responsible for a career consultation,Understanding the professional experience of candidate as well as their expectations of their career path so that delivery the best message to client, the constructive advice to candidate even we have no suitable position for the CAN to be concluded we should through a discussion to find out the best solution to 3 parties -client -our company - candidates A dialogue without respect,it’s meaningless
This was the question I wanted to ask you, how do you deal with this? I am sure recruiters and multinationals companies do not appreciate and are not pleased with you believe in.
Amen

6yWell said,in fact some recruiters can be so harsh on candidates, which is very bad, consider the fact that they are human beings like you.An employer once rained abuses at me during an interview, and I was demoralized that I couldn't utter a word again.
