I Place Attorneys in Florida Law Firms | Former BigLaw Partner | Tony Robbins’ Trainer | Firewalker

I'm busy. Legal hiring has slowed down. And I'm still busy. A recent report by the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), shows a significant slowdown in Florida legal hiring in 2023 - associate hiring dropped 56% and partner hiring was down 27%. But let's put that into perspective. Florida is an emerging market and in 2020-21, the legal market, especially South Florida, saw a massive influx of talent. And as I posted a couple of days ago, it takes time to integrate new hires into a firm. A downturn was a natural course correction following Florida's post-pandemic hiring boom. What's next? Even when the numbers say hiring is down, the market is still active. And hiring is expected to pick up in 2024, especially in transactional areas like M&A. Whether hiring is up or down, opportunities are still available for talented attorneys. Brian M. Moskowitz a good lesson from Brian for all. Business can be down, still busy and profitable. Just because it wasn’t as good as last year doesn’t matter. Your only goal is to cover your overhead and make enough profit to make a living. That’s it.
