I've been in real estate for 20 years, manage 50 agents, and I've done more than 3,000 transactions, and I still wish that I would've picked a niche early on, and I would've killed it even more than I'm killing it now. Mindset is everything in real estate brokerage. If you are a broker/agent, and your transaction volume is down, rather than blaming it on market conditions, blame yourself. No matter how hard the market gets, those who were giving their all in pre-season are ready for the retraction during the season. The best brokers are the ones who treat a termination as a benefit to add fuel to the fire. I keep telling my team MHP Brokerage how interesting this environment is as we have less competition than ever, ultimately benefiting us. At one point in 2021, it felt like every seller would tell me I get five calls a day. Now the tune is "We're excited to hear from you; what are your insights?" If you are a new broker and you are looking to shake the market with your skills, now is the time to flourish and thrive. Don't let the media, other people struggling, and ordinary people convince you that it's "too hard".
